the good life?
UPDATE
After only a week and a half we’ve got some good growth!
It’s almost time to take them out of the seeding trays!
—————————————————
we’ve decided to use our window box space to try out our green fingers and grow some veg, it will be interesting to see if we can actually get some food growing as neither of us have had a garden for years and our house plants don’t ever seem to last long. though that could have something to do with our mischievous pets eating them.
trafalgar square
it’s seem no matter where we are headed in london we always seem to end up at trafalgar square! not that it’s a bad thing, it’s helping me connect up the vast randomness that london appears to be at the moment. anyway we were walking past the other weekend on the way up to the west end theatre festival at leicester square and noticed this large gathering
one good thing about london is there’s always something going on, i think this was an anti racism protest but didn’t have enough time to stay and find out. as it happens we would have had time as we spent all of ten minutes at the theatre festival and ended up in a soho bar instead, we eventually got home at 3am. the other good thing about london? the night buses, even though you don’t appreciate them at the time…
Trying to stay out of it
living in south london is much cheaper than a city center location, however the train to work cost £8 a day (daylight robbery) and the bus takes 2 hours, yes that’s right 2 whole hours… so i jump on my two wheels and cycle like mad for 90 minutes a day. cycling is great that is except for an ongoing battle between cyclists and pretty much everybody else on the road and i’m trying my hardest not to get sucked into the bitter fight but it’s proving pretty tough! i’m predicting that brainfluff may pass over to the dark side despite my best efforts.

the list is endless but if have a look at some of the links from the mentioned blogs you’ll find a whole network of people with the same issues.
all for a good cause
i’ve entered into the London Bikeathon this year to help raise money for leukaemia research. My sponsor page is looking a little pitiful at the moment so if anyone would like to give money to a good cause here’s the link: www.justgiving.com/michellebartholomew
early stages
i’ve been doing some experiments this weekend for brainfluff’s new banner style;
sorry about the picture quality, i’ve mislaid my camera cable so i’ve used my mobile instead.
